Meet the Team
Mr Andrew Womble, PSHEE and Careers Education Lead.
Andrew’s obligations lie far beyond the classroom and is responsible for creating and implementing the Careers Programme at The Corbet School. Further to the design of the PSHEE Scheme of Work that supports Careers Education, he leads on the organisation of Work Experience and all events and opportunities taking place linked to Careers Education. Andrew meets regularly with The Marches Careers Hub, The Careers and Enterprise Company and Post 16 providers to ensure that The Corbet School is fully compliant with The Gatsby Benchmarks, Baker Clause and Provider Access Legislation.
Mrs Emma Linney, Independent Careers Advisor.
Each week, Emma meets with students, working 1:1 to provide impartial careers advice. Emma also works with small groups where ideas can be shared and supported.
Mr Gareth Simms, Deputy Head Teacher.
As the Senior Leader attached to Careers Education, Gareth meets regularly with the Careers Team to advise and support their work with students at The Corbet School and all the Careers Education activities that take place.
Mr Chris Precious, School Governor.
As a member of the Schools Governing Body, Chris is assigned to the Careers Team to offer support and guidance where appropriate and report back to the full governing body on a regular basis.
Ms Camille Mortimer, Enterprise Coordinator, Shropshire Council.
Aside from administering the Compass+ Evaluation (our termly assessment of Careers Education) Camille is The Corbet School’s ‘go to’ for all things Careers, providing the advice and guidance to the wider Careers Education Team working in school.
Ms Justine Vaughan, Enterprise Advisor.
As a small business owner, Justine gives her time voluntarily to support the Careers Education in school on behalf of the Marches Careers Hub. Justine offers her invaluable experience to The Corbet School, making use of her own contacts to support the work of the Careers Education Team.
