The Library is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am. After school, the library is open Monday to Friday until 4.30pm.
The library provides a safe haven before school and after-school for those pupils who are unable to to get to school or return home via normal means, or during normal hours.
Pupils are welcome to read, use the computers for school work and homework.
We have an extensive range of fiction, non-fiction and reference titles and encourage pupils to seek recommendations from Mrs Brett and her team of pupil librarians.
Each pupil has their own library account and may borrow up to three books at a time. DVD’s are also available to loan. The loan period for books is up to three weeks. Books can be returned either to the issues desk or by posting them the the library returns letter box situated under the library noticeboard. If pupils need longer to read, they must renew their loan by visiting the issues desk. Books that are returned late, a 5p per day overdue fine is levied (this excludes weekends, school holidays, school trips and authorised absence). If books are lost or returned badly damaged, we do ask pupils to pay a replacement fee.
