The Corbet School is committed to meeting the needs of all students, whether academically able or creatively talented.
We ensure that our curriculum fully challenges our most able academic students, and that opportunities for enrichment are provided.
If students are more able or talented in areas such as art, music, sport or performing arts then opportunities are available for them to develop their skills as much as possible.
We have many students who have represented the county in sports, won literacy awards, attended writing workshops with published authors and competed successfully in national math’s challenges.
The Corbet School has high expectations of all individuals and we strive to extend and fulfill the potential of all students who arrive through our door. Some students are identified as More Able or Talented and each department uses this information to ensure that their course caters for higher abilities, with resources continuing across all departments to allow them to achieve this. A separate more able and talented policy sets out the criteria in which students are recognised.
